For bookkeepers
Meet the three I'd hire before month-end
Set each one up once. They just run.
Nothing is coded, filed or sent to a client until you approve it.
The staff
Hire one, or all three. They hand work to each other, and every one of them is the same object with a different brief and different accounts attached.

£82.40, somewhere in March
An hour of it, as it actually goes
One Hand, one job, and the part where it stops and asks. Not every shift log starts in the morning, and nothing below leaves the building until you say so.
Send the eight chasers? Each lists the specific documents, not “please send your receipts”. Vale's is the fourth ask, so that one is firmer.
In your words
Things people actually ask
- “Which of my clients can I actually close this month, and what is each one missing?”
- “Chase Vale for the nine receipts, and keep chasing until they arrive.”
- “The Kessler statement is out by £82.40. Find it.”
Questions
The ones that come up first
It is not touching my clients' books on its own.
It does not. Coding a transaction, filing anything, or sending a client a message are all decisions that come to you as a card with the reasoning attached, and nothing happens until you approve it. The default is that it prepares and you decide. You can loosen that per client once you trust a particular routine, and every run still leaves a record.
Does it replace my bookkeeping software?
No — keep the ledger where the ledger is. This sits beside it and does the part your software has never done: knowing which of twenty-two clients is holding up month-end and why, and doing something about it before you have to.
