The deduper

An AI assistant that finds duplicate contacts and merges them

Finds the same thing recorded four times. Goes through the list for near-matches rather than exact ones, groups what is probably one thing, and shows you the merge before it does anything.

What you'd say

I think we have the same twelve companies in here under different names.

When it runs

When you ask. Brief it in a sentence, any time.

What it uses

your contacts

Where it stops and asks

It shows you every proposed merge before it does anything. Nothing is merged, and nothing is deleted, until you approve the group.

How it goes

The running order.

Every step lands in the record with a time and a source, so you can read what it did instead of asking.

  1. Read the list for near matches
  2. Group what is probably one thing
  3. Show you each merge
  4. You approve, then it merges

Questions

The ones that come up first.

How does it decide two things are the same?

Near matches rather than exact ones: the same company under three spellings, the same person with two emails. It groups what is probably one thing and shows its reasons.

Can I undo a merge?

Yes. Merges are kept in the record and can be undone; deleting a person is a separate card.

Will it merge two different people with the same name?

It flags same-name, different-details groups as unsure rather than proposing them, and you decide.
