The reconciler
An AI assistant that reconciles two systems and lists the gaps
Two systems disagree. Works out which is right. Compares the two, lists every difference, and says which side it believes and why — instead of overwriting one with the other and hoping.
What you'd say
The sheet and the system do not agree on last month. Find every difference.
When it runs
Runs month end.
What it uses
two exports
Where it stops and asks
It never overwrites one side with the other. It lists every difference, says which side it believes and why, and leaves the fixing to you.
How it goes
The running order.
Every step lands in the record with a time and a source, so you can read what it did instead of asking.
- Pull both
- Line them up
- List every difference
- Say which it believes, and why
Questions
The ones that come up first.
What can it compare?
Anything that should agree: the sheet and the system, the bank and the ledger, the rent roll and the statements. It lines them up by the fields that identify a row and reports what does not match.
Why does it say which side it believes?
Because a list of differences is only half the job. It gives its reason for each, such as a date that is in the bank but not in the sheet, so you can check the reasoning rather than the arithmetic.
Will it change anything?
No. The output is the list. Correcting a system is a separate ask, with approval.
