Expenses
An AI assistant that turns a folder of receipts into the claim
Turns the pile of receipts into the claim. Reads the receipts, categorises them, flags the one that is missing, and totals it.
What you'd say
Do September's expenses from the receipts in this folder.
When it runs
Runs month end.
What it uses
a folder of receipts
Where it stops and asks
At the receipt it cannot read, or the one that is missing. It flags both rather than guessing a number.
How it goes
The running order.
Every step lands in the record with a time and a source, so you can read what it did instead of asking.
- Read the receipts
- Categorise
- Flag what is missing
- Total it
Questions
The ones that come up first.
What formats can it read?
Photos, PDFs and the emailed kind. It reads the amount, the date and the merchant from each, and asks you about the one it cannot make out instead of inventing it.
Will it categorise them the way my accountant wants?
It learns your categories from what you have already filed and applies them. Where a receipt fits none of them it asks once, and remembers the answer.
Can it submit the claim?
It produces the totalled claim and the receipts in order. Submitting it into your accounting system or your employer's portal is the form filler's job, with your approval.
